On behalf of the Head of School Search Committee, Linden Waldorf School proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Rhonda Bennett as its next Head of School, effective June 1, 2026. This transformative leadership move marks a significant milestone for the institution and the broader Nashville educational landscape.

Dr. Bennett distinguished herself among a highly competitive pool of national candidates, bringing a wealth of experience in pedagogy, educational leadership, and classroom teaching. Her background will strengthen the Linden Waldorf community and serve as a catalyst for innovation and excellence, positioning the school at the forefront of independent education in Nashville and beyond.

Dr. Bennett currently serves as Head of Early Childhood Education at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee, where she has led initiatives that earned regional recognition for advancing early childhood education. Her previous leadership roles have consistently demonstrated her commitment to educational excellence, faculty development, and student-centered learning—qualities that set her apart as a leader in the field.

The Head of School role requires both a deep respect for Waldorf pedagogy and the ability to build and sustain the professional infrastructure necessary to uphold and advance it. The position is entrusted with the long-term health and vitality of the institution, overseeing key areas such as strategic vision and value proposition, financial stewardship, marketing and enrollment, capital planning and infrastructure, and operational excellence and risk management. With Dr. Bennett’s proven administrative acumen, extensive experience mentoring and supporting teachers, and her foundation as an educator, Linden Waldorf School gains a leader uniquely equipped to translate its values into sustainable systems and practices.
