Mr. Salter is a Nashville native who grew up participating in vocal and instrumental music and ultimately decided to pursue a career in music education. After finishing a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music Education at Tennessee Tech University, he taught for six years between public and private school settings and also worked as a church musician. In addition to teaching, Mr. Salter also sings as much as possible, having sung with the Bryan Symphony Orchestra, Oak Ridge Symphony, Asheville Lyric Opera, The Nashville Opera Chorus, The Nashville Symphony Chorus, The Franklin Chamber Choir, and Vocal Arts Nashville. He recently took a break from full-time teaching to complete a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at Middle Tennessee State University, and he is excited to be back in the classroom! Mr. Salter feels that Linden Waldorf School is an excellent place to be a music teacher, with such a strong emphasis on and participation in the arts, and he feels very fortunate to be here!
