Rachel Pachmayr holds a BS in Child and Family Development and an MS in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies from Missouri State University. With over five years of experience at Missouri State University’s lab school, she has worked as both a classroom teacher and a lab instructor, guiding undergraduates pursuing degrees in education. Through this role, Rachel developed a profound understanding of child learning processes and developmentally appropriate practices. Her thesis research delved into how early childhood educators can employ conflict resolution strategies to support social, emotional, and moral development in young learners, fostering their problem-solving skills.
Rachel furthered her expertise as a Project Coordinator and Educational Specialist at Vanderbilt University’s Department of Special Education. For three years, she led tier-2 math interventions with third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students in MNPS schools. She then combined her passion for early childhood education with her leadership skills by serving as both Assistant Director and Director at Micah Children’s Academy over a span of five years.
As a mother of four, Rachel brings a personal and professional commitment to education. One of her children has been a student at LWS for six years, giving her firsthand experience with the school’s environment. She believes strongly in the Waldorf philosophy, which aligns with her views on nurturing school cultures that inspire lifelong learning and problem-solving.
Ms. Pachmayr is excited to join our community and looks forward to contributing to an enriching and supportive educational experience for your children.
