Education: Columbia University, School of General Studies, Bachelor's degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and Education
Originally from Arizona, Ms. Knighton has spent time living in Los Angeles, Boston, and Brooklyn, NY. Her family has called Nashville home since 2014. Ms. Knighton has worked as an Educator for the past 17 years in both Reggio Emilia and Waldorf classrooms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociocultural Anthropology and Elementary Education from Columbia University. Ms. Knighton is passionate about supporting children's social-emotional development and helping them build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self within a nurturing learning community. Ms. Knighton and her partner, Ryan, have 3 children, Milo, Ramona, and Julian. With Julian starting kindergarten this Fall, all their children will be attending Linden this coming school year.
Ms. Knighton is thrilled to be rejoining the Linden teaching community, “I am excited to be returning to the classroom at Linden and to be inspired by the wonderful faculty.”
