David Sprouse comes to the Linden community as a veteran teacher of 26 years, having taught math in both independent and public schools. He has also been part of the LWS community as a parent and previously taught 5th grade at Linden. His two children, Jennie Mae and Corbin, had the full Linden experience from preschool through 8th grade, and his wife, Jocelyn, is the strings teacher at Linden! David holds a BS in Math Education from Clemson University in South Carolina and an MA in Educational Leadership from Trevecca University in Nashville. He taught middle school math in grades 5–8 for 16 years and high school math for 9 years.

When he isn't doing math, he is a multi-instrumentalist who plays both professionally and semi-professionally, as well as an outstanding gardener! Mr. Spouse says, "I am pleased to rejoin the Linden community and to bring the math curriculum with creativity and continuity to prepare our students for their math journey beyond Linden!"
